Since the Lunaria Lunar Almanac Sky Maps site has reached their eighth year, I'd like to make a special effort to get the feedback of the people who use it. Many people have contacted me with questions or comments over the years, but only a small fraction of those who visit the site.

Please take the time to answer some (or all) of the questions below and send your response to webmaster@theskytonight.com

MAPS

- Do you understand the maps and what they show you?

- Are you able to locate stars, planets, and constellations with the maps, even though it's not the day or time shown on the map?

- Do the maps come up clearly and legibly on your browser?

- Do you like having the maps made one week ahead of time?

EPHEMERIS DATA

- Do you find the information in the ephemeris data too technical?

- Is it useful for you to know the rising and setting times of the planets and the Moon?

FTP

- Are you able to get maps and ephemeris data from the ftp links?

- Do you use an ftp client to get this information or a browser?

- Is it useful for you to get a specific file or map, rather than downloading the whole page?

HELP FILES

- Do the help files answer your questions about the maps and data?

- Is the information too technical?

- Have you looked at the ecliptic rotation page? Is this understandable to you?

- Would you like to see more in-depth explanations of certain topics?

GENERAL

- Does the page come up quickly enough on your browser?

- Do you make use of the links to other sites?

- Do the maps accurately show your location, or should another city be added?

- Do you use a telescope or binoculars, or mostly naked-eye viewing?

- Are monthly constellation maps good enough for your uses?

- How did you learn of this site?

I've produced this site for several years at my own expense and a great deal of labour. I want it to give you the information you need to appreciate the skies. Please feel free to contact me any time with questions, comments or suggestions.
